The Sponsored Programs Office (SPO) supports the administration and compliance of extramurally-sponsored research awards to Queen’s biomedical scientists and clinical investigators.

Our support services include:

Identifying funding opportunities
Review and assistance with grant proposal submission
Award acceptance and negotiation
Grant financial management
Compliance with administrative requirements
Consortium/contractual arrangements

Federal regulatory compliance
Communication with sponsor agencies/officers
Interfacing with Finance and other departments
Interim and final financial reporting
Grant closeout
Biostatistical support

Proposal Development

After you have developed your scientific protocol and identified a funding agency to submit a grant application, we can:

assist with the proposal documents
develop the project budget
review to ensure the application adheres to the funding sponsor's requirements and guidelines
obtain the necessary Queen's approvals
submit the application package to the sponsor (paper or electronic)
