Through initial funding from the FDA, Hawai‘i HERON was established to improve the health and healthcare of Asian, Native Hawaiian, Pacific Islander, rural, and other underserved populations. The goal is to timely and efficiently respond to health research needs in Hawai‘i and throughout the Pacific.

This study aims to identify factors that facilitate healthcare provider trust among NHPI and to describe diabetes medication beliefs in NHPI. Identifying these factors can increase medication adherence in NHPI, which is an important aspect in promoting positive health outcomes within NHPI.
